Privacy Notice

What we collect

• Registration details — the name and email address you enter to reserve a seat or join a live session.
• Participation data — join and leave times, questions, chat messages, and poll responses you submit during a webinar.
• Recordings — webinars may be recorded. If you speak on stage or appear on camera, your audio and video form part of that recording. Where recording consent is required, you are asked to agree before you join.
• Technical data — a private join token and basic connection/quality signals needed to deliver the stream to you. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and do not build advertising profiles.

Why we collect it

We use your name and email to confirm your registration, send your private join link and a reminder before the event, admit you to the session, and — where the host enables it — share a recording or follow-up. Participation data lets the host run the show (Q&A, polls, moderation) and understand attendance.

Lawful basis

We rely on performance of a contract (delivering the webinar you asked to attend) for registration and delivery, your consent for recording where it is required and for optional communications, and our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and measuring aggregate attendance. You may withdraw consent at any time.

How long we keep it

Registration and participation data are retained for the life of the event and for up to 12 months afterwards so hosts can send follow-ups and reconcile attendance, unless the host deletes them sooner or you ask us to. Recordings are kept for as long as the host retains them. When a webinar is deleted, its registrations and messages are removed with it.

Your rights & how to request deletion

You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these — including deleting your registration and any recording you appear in — email privacy@starcaster.app or contact the host of the event you attended. We respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Sharing & storage

We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (hosting, email delivery, and the content-delivery network that streams the video) and with the host of your event. We do not sell your personal data. Data is stored on EU-based infrastructure.
